1.) 20 Tips for Better Sleep!: I have had insomnia since I was a kid. I’ve learned to embrace it and work with it. However, being in our homes more due to the pandemic can also affect sleep. 2.) Get Fit for 2021!: I have to admit, I started working on this goal a bit early. Something in me just clicked, and I decided I wanted to start losing weight and getting healthy, and THE POUNDS ARE COMING OFF! I’m super excited about this, of course. 3.) I’m starting a YouTube Channel!!!: Shameless plug, but I would hate for any of you to miss out on what I’m doing in 2021. I have a YouTube, and I’ve posted a few videos which you can watch HERE. Over this year, I’ve realized that I want to start creating more fun videos and telling you all a little more about who I am, what I enjoy, and sharing more of my life with all of you. My Youtube is going to be very much like this blog but better with Day in the Life segments, Updates on my fitness routine (which is going really well so far), recipe videos, cat videos, and once Boston goes back to whatever the new normal is, I’ll be taking you on fun travels around New England. I’m really excited about this, and I hope you are too! I’ll be posting Mondays and Fridays (Foodie Friday is all about FOOD and fun Recipes). If you’d like to be notified of new videos, you can either check back here on my blog (because I’ll be posting them here, OR you can head to my YouTube Channel early and Subscribe (clicking the little bell notification button), and you’ll be notified when my first post (on JANUARY 1st) comes out!

4.) 49 Winter Activities You can do Even During a Pandemic: I really hate winter. I’ve said this multiple times on this blog, by I really do mean it. It’s honestly the only time I miss Florida. The pandemic, with all of its lockdowns and social distancing rules, hasn’t made things easier. I found THIS ARTICLE by RealSimple that has 49 Fun winter activities that you can do even during the pandemic. Reading the list got me inspired and, dare I say, looking forward to this winter!

5.) 56 of the BEST New Year’s Resolutions: I know we discussed getting fit in article number 2, but perhaps that’s not your vibe for this year. If you’re finding that you’re feeling a bit lost or even hopeless about the prospect of 2021, THIS ARTICLE by Good Housekeeping should help. With 56 options to consider, one of them has to resonate with you, and even none of these do, perhaps your mind will start to explore what you really want to get out of this upcoming year that you can get excited about.

I hope these articles and the special announcement about my YouTube channel have given you something to look forward to in 2021. We can’t always stop bad things from happening, but I’ve learned this year that it is about how I respond to my problems that either gets me ahead or puts me back in life. 2020 was full of difficult moments, to say the least, but 2021 can be all about healing and becoming your better and stronger self after facing difficulty. If you’d like to be notified of future posts (because this blog will still be active), please SIGN UP HERE. If you’re looking to meditate more this upcoming year and would like to have something special to mark this commitment you’re making to yourself, check out my SHOP. I hand make all the Malas there, and they are awesome to help focus the mind during meditation (also, they’re pretty!). Thank you so much for reading, and I wish you a beautiful rest of your day. -Heather Astaneh
