When I lived in Florida one thing I can remember seeing in tourist shops were boxes of beautifully wrapped grapefruits. They would be nestled like big golden eggs in the usually green grassy crimped paper, and I remember not understanding why anyone would buy those things when we could just go to the store and buy them. Now I live up here in Massachusetts and I get it. To have those perfect-looking orbs mailed to you buy someone living in a place of seemingly perpetual summer while you have anywhere from 3-6 more months of cold weather, is a nice gesture! However, in this post, I’m going to show you how you can have that fun citrus smell all year long with this sexy sugar scrub!

There are a lot of benefits to using Grapefruit essential oils. It’s believed that they can help suppress the appetite, which in turn helps with weight loss. It might help balance your mood which means that if you incorporate this into a self-care ritual you might feel that little boost in positivity. It has antibacterial and antimicrobial effects which I’m loving during this year of pestilence. Its fresh smell may help to lower stress which can also mean a lowering of blood pressure. Either way, the scent envigorates and the sugar is a great exfoliant, and the coconut oil will leave your skin feeling silky smooth.
This craft is also excellent if you have kids They’ll have fun with the smells and mix in the pink coloring. It’s a perfect summertime craft and the ingredients are easy to come by. Since this contains sugar it can go bad and should be used in a month or two.
