In this video, I’m going to show you one of my absolute favorite Christmas cookies to make. It’s simple and if you have little ones this is a perfect way to invite them into the kitchen and get them learning the joys of cooking and baking!
If you came here for the recipe, here it is!:
Betty Crocker Chocolate Crinkles:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted, cooled
2 cups granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
1.) In a large bowl, mix oil, chocolate, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Stir in eggs, one at a time (this is a lot of fun for kids, just make sure they crack them into a separate bowl so they don’t get eggshells into the mix). Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover; refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight (I prefer overnight).
2.) Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease the cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray.
3.) Take about a teaspoon full of dough and quickly roll it into a ball and drop it into the powdered sugar; roll around to coat. Place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
4.) Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are set. Immediately remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Enjoy!
