My Favorite Christmas Cookie Recipe!
In this video, I’m going to show you one of my absolute favorite Christmas cookies to make. It’s simple and if you have little ones this is a perfect way to invite them into the kitchen and get them learning the joys of cooking and baking!
If you came here for the recipe, here it is!:
Betty Crocker Chocolate Crinkles:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted, cooled
2 cups granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1.) In a large bowl, mix oil, chocolate, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Stir in eggs, one at a time (this is a lot of fun for kids, just make sure they crack them into a separate bowl so they don’t get eggshells into the mix). Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover; refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight (I prefer overnight).
2.) Pre-Heat oven to 350°F. Grease cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray.
3.) Take about a teaspoon full of dough and quickly roll into a ball and drop into the powdered sugar; roll around to coat. Place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
4.) Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are set. Immediately remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Enjoy!
