On this special Christmas episode, I'm inviting you into my apartment for some delicious red wine hot chocolate, and to open some presents, and to give a quick update on the state of my computer (which was very sad last episode). I hope you enjoy this little celebration and I wish you a Merry Christmas!
Red Wine Hot Chocolate:
Ingredients:
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup dry red wine (I use Merlot in the episode, but any red wine will do).
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup half and half
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1.) In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the chocolate chips, wine, milk, half, and half. Stir constantly to make sure it doesn't burn or boil, and stir until chocolate chips are melted and the drink is hot.
2.) Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and salt. Pour into mugs. Top with marshmallows and or whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon and serve.
